Jean Loobentz Cesar is a Haitian born, New Jersey–based cinematographer, photographer, and visual storyteller with expertise in cinematography, photography, sound recording, and post-production. A graduate of the Artists Institute in Jacmel, Haiti, he has built a diverse career across documentary, sports, news, and commercial productions.

Since beginning his professional career in 2015, Jean has collaborated with leading organizations including Reuters, AyiboPost, Sekoya Studios, Chokarella, and PleziKanaval. He also served as the boom operator on Kidnapping Inc, which was presented at the Cannes Film Market and the Sundance Film Festival.

Most recently, Jean volunteered with FIFA in Media Operations during the FIFA World Cup 2026, contributing to media operations at one of the world’s largest sporting events. Passionate about authentic storytelling, he combines technical expertise with creativity to produce compelling visual content that connects with audiences and elevates every project.
